Pension Reform Protests: Lycée students join in!

Another day of protests in Laval, against the pension reforms pushed through by President Macron last month. Today around 700 Lycée students joined the protest, bringing new music and new placards to the (regular!) event. In the chants from the protestors, you could hear anti-Macron slogans; likening him to Louis XVI. As usual there is a discrepancy concerning how many protestors were present, with the police estimating less than 3000 and the Unions estimating more than 6000.

The protest dispersed by 3pm. Union representatives say they will continue to organise demonstrations until they get a response from President Macron. Presumably, it has to be the response they want to hear and not, in all likelihood, the response Macron will give them.
