Looking to enjoy some outdoor activities in Laval during the holidays? Located in the Square de Boston in the centre of Laval The Halte Fluviale offers leisure activities on land and river!
You can rent pedal boats and electric/motorboats (without a license), for a few hours or the whole day.
Also available: Mountain bikes, tandem bikes, electric bikes and children’s trailers, all-terrain scooters, and everything you need for bicycle tours: Tourist information, repair kit, bike lockers and all the advice you need.
There’s also a reception and tourist information area to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the events going on in Laval, and cruises on board the passenger boat “Vallis Guidonis”.
The River
The Mayenne is a 100% navigable river : 85 km from the north to the south of the department.
When you rent a boat, you can take advantage of the following facilities: sanitary facilities, showers, washing machines, water and electricity (harbour tariffs available on reques52+t at the reception).

(You will need to pay a 500€ deposit to rent a boat, this can be paid by French cheque, or it can be blocked on your bank card for the duration of the rental)
Boat Rental slots: 2 hours = 2pm-4pm or 4pm-6pm, 1/2 day = 9.30am-1.30pm or 2pm – 6pm, 1 day = 9.30am – 6pm
The boats don’t require any license, but there is a brief training session before departure.
The Trail
Parallel to the river, there is a towpath that stretches through Laval and joins up to a hiking path. On foot, by bike, on horseback or on a scooter, you can explore the secrets of the Mayenne on this well-maintained trail which is also part of the Vélo Francette® (cycling route linking Ouistreham to La Rochelle).

Trailers, follow bikes and child seats cannot be rented without the rental of an adult bike.
Helmets are mandatory for children under 12 and recommended for all.
